The following is an Urdu translation of the booklet The Christian Life by John Calvin. The contents of this booklet are taken from chapters 6–10 of Book 3 of Calvin’s Institutes (Henry Beveridge translation, 1845 edition). Since their first publication, these chapters have been printed separately numerous times and in various languages.
The translation has been updated for clarity, with modernized language, revised sentences, and added section headings by Rev. John Marcus of the PRCA. It has been translated into Urdu by Pastor Arslan Ul Haq of the Reformed Church of Pakistan.
Although Calvin lived in circumstances very different from ours today, the lessons he teaches are Scriptural and always timely.
