In His Hands: Trusting God with Our Times in 2026

“My times are in Your hand.”
Psalm 31:15

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I trust this message finds you well and rejoicing in His faithfulness as we enter a new year together.

As we step into 2026, the words of the psalmist steady our hearts: “My times are in Your hand.” David does not say his times are in his own strength, his plans, or his circumstances, but firmly places them in the hand of the Lord. John Calvin reminds us that this confession quiets our fears because every season and condition of life is governed by God’s wise and loving providence. Nothing comes by accident, and nothing escapes His care.

John Gill draws our attention to how wide and comforting this truth truly is. Our days, our trials, our comforts, and even our future are all held securely in God’s hand. This does not remove our responsibility but removes despair and encourages us to trust. We plan, we labor, we pray, and we walk forward with confidence, knowing that our times are not random. They are lovingly ordered by the same faithful God who has sustained us until now.

May this assurance strengthen your faith and bring peace to your heart throughout the coming year.

Wishing you a blessed, joyful, and Christ-centered New Year 2026, with renewed trust in the Lord who holds all our times in His hand.

In Christ who unites us,
